Check-in Riviera is committed to protecting the privacy of users of its website. This privacy policy describes how personal data is collected, used and protected when you use the website https://www.check-in-riviera.com.
1. Data Controller
As a small sole trader, Check-in Riviera is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) under Article 37 of the GDPR. The data controller assumes these responsibilities directly.

When you use the contact or appointment request form, the following data may be collected:
- First name
- Phone number
- Email address (if provided)
- Property type (apartment, size, location)
- Preferred availability slots
- Free message describing your project
Via browsing (technical data)
During your visit, technical data may be automatically recorded by the hosting servers (O2switch) for security and statistical purposes:
- IP address (anonymised)
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and duration of visit
- Date and time of connection
- Operating system
Data not collected
Check-in Riviera does not collect sensitive data (racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, health data, biometric data). No automated commercial profiling is carried out.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing
Responding to your requests, scheduling a visit, preparing a quote.
Analysing website traffic to improve content and performance.
Connection logs retained by the host to detect and prevent attacks.
Retention of data necessary for invoicing in accordance with French tax obligations.
4. Data Retention Period
Upon expiry of these periods, data is permanently and irreversibly deleted or anonymised.
5. Data Recipients
Your personal data is intended exclusively for Check-in Riviera. It is neither sold, rented nor transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
The only technical subcontractors who may access your data in connection with website hosting are:
- O2switch (host) — servers located in France, ISO 27001 certified
- Contact form provider — data processed in accordance with their terms of service
No data is transferred outside the European Union.
6. Your Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Obtain a copy of the data held about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR).
Request deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR), subject to legal obligations.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority): www.cnil.fr.
7. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It does not contain viruses and cannot damage your computer.
Necessary for the website to function (session, security). Cannot be disabled. No consent required.
Check-in Riviera does not currently use any analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. No consent banner is therefore required at this stage. This policy will be updated if an audience measurement tool is introduced.

8. Data Security
Check-in Riviera implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, alteration or unauthorised access:
- Encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connection across the entire website
- Hosting in France with O2switch, ISO 27001 certified
- Data access limited to the minimum number of authorised persons
- No storage of passwords or bank details on the website

Check-in Riviera reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, in particular to comply with changes in regulations. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
